About the Item

This well executed antique folk art needlepoint is signed on the back, possibly Emily Leanora, but is highly illegible so the artist is being regarded as an unknown. This needlepoint was done in England is circa 1810 in the Regency period and style and depicts a Persian man presumably standing at an oasis in considerable detail. The needlepoint is framed under glass in its original period frame. The artwork itself measures approximately 8.5 inches by 11 inches and with the frame measures 13.5 inches by 16 inches.
