"Le Merlet de Chamonix," a mountain pasture from where the Mont Blanc Massif can be seen.
The mountain painting offered here is an oil painting on canvas, from the twentieth century.
This is an old painting from the 20th century depicting a snowy mountain landscape,
painted with midday light, as written behind in the frame by the painter " l'aiguille du midi."
On the back of the painting the painter also wrote the painted location: " Merlet de Chamonix." Western French Alps.
The work is an oil painting that bears a lacquered wooden frame, original and coeval to the antique painting.
The painting is dated 1963 and signed at lower right Lucien Quenard (1902-1995), a French painter active in the 20th century.
The frame and painting are restored.
