A nice example of of the Swiss artist Werner Holenstein (1932 - 1985) earlier work. This bar Scene is signed and dated 65. The book does not accompany the painting, but shows how his style evolved as most of the work in the book is from his later work. This painting is on linen and in it's original frame. The painting is one of a group of his works that we have acquired and will be listing. The frame is original and has losses and marks. The painting is in good condition although there is likely minor paint loss.
