About the Item
Large oil painting by the Alsatian (French province) artist Fernand Dubich (1903 -1977). Still life in autumnal colors depicting a large bouquet of dried flowers in a copper cauldron on an antique wooden table with carved decorations. Signed lower right.
Inscribed on the back: "Fleurs d'Hiver, F. Dubich 1953, 3 rue de Etourneaux Mulhouse (Ht Rhin)". Inscription on the stretcher: "I gave this painting to my daughter Francoise Dubich in 1959".
This painting was exhibited at an artists' show in Alsace in 1970 . It appears in the catalog : "Fleurs d'hiver" page 11 (number 32 / 130 x 89).
