Alessandro Mendini for Acte III Silkscreen Print 1990

About the Item

A spectacular silkscreen print by Alessandro Mendini for for Acte III. Mendini was a hugely prolific and world-renowned Italian architect and designer who ranks amongst the most important of the 1980s-2000s, having won the prestigious Compasso d'Oro multiple times, as well as producing work for Philips, Swarovski, Swatch, Supreme, and Bisazza. This print from 1990 has brightly colored shapes in pink, teal, yellow, orange, and purple with two black bordered white rectangles and is very much in line with the sophisticated maximalism seen in the work of the other members of the Memphis Group. In good vintage condition with very slight signs of age and use, including one soft fold in the orange shape on left of print (please see photos).
