About the Item
Beautiful original etching by well listed Japanese-American artist, Mayumi Oda c1980s, titled "Spring Rain". Small edition of 30. Original japanese frame. Signed in pencil by artist.
Dubbed the Matisse of Japan. Mayumi Oda is a Japanese-born American artist born in 1941 and raised in post-war Japan. Oda graduated in 1966 from Tokyo University of Fine Arts, then studied at Pratt Graphic Centre in NYC. She is currently living in Hawaii, in her 90s, and no longer working. Her work is highly collectible and getting harder to find since she only did small editions.
