This beautiful vintage bangle bracelet is very well crafted in solid 14k yellow gold and features fine quality natural jade stones neatly stationed and set throughout. The polish of this bangle helps us to date it to the 1940s. The industrial revolution didn't reach China to the point of widespread saturation until the 1950s. Jade that was carved and polished prior to electricity and modern polishing equipment like rotary tools and diamond paste were was carved and polished by hand, using incredibly laborious, physically-demanding techniques. The resulting polish was less fine than today's piano-finish high-polish. Older jade like this elegant, old-school bangle bracelet simply couldn't be polished to such a glassy sheen; the surface texture was never glass-smooth as it often is today.
