About the Item

A late Victorian diamond-set duck stick pin, the polychrome enamelled head with a cabochon ruby-set eye, the body set with fifteen small rose-cut diamonds, all mounted in silver and yellow gold, with gold pin fitting, circa 1890, measuring 1.2 x 0.8cm, the pin measuring 5.5cm long, gross weight 1.6 grams. This antique pin is in very good condition for its age. Unmarked, tested as silver and 15ct gold. This very elegant and sweet Victorian diamond-set duck stickpin comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London distinguished jewellers by appointment to His Majesty the King. This charming duck’s head is delicately enamelled and embellished with a ruby at the place of the eye. The body is encrusted in shimmering rose-cut diamonds which gives luminosity and allure.
