Stunning Mughal Court jeweled necklace. Designed in India around the 1940's in the old Mughal jewelry style. This type of pieces are commonly used in Indian wedding festivities and was crafted in solid 21 karats (0.9166) of yellow gold. decorated with red, green and white enamel. A gorgeous piece with 3.99 ounces (124.5 gm) of gold. Bezel set, with 163 rough faceted natural diamonds with a combined weight of 24.45 carats. Embellished, with 162 round pearls of 3 mm. and accented with 162 tiny beads of natural green emeralds, 8.1 carats. Has a total weight of 124.5 grams and fit a neck up to 16 inches. Royal family members and people of high rank proudly displayed such jewelry all over their bodies, from jeweled turbans and head-jewelry to thick-set toe rings. This stunning, fine and impressive vintage emerald necklace has been crafted in 14k white gold. The central feature arrangement is embellished with three cluster designs incorporating impressive claw set emerald cut emeralds, each encircled with eight Old European cut diamonds.
