This exquisite desk object was crafted in France during the early 20th Century and would have been an impressive object to own. The desk seal is crafted from a cigar shaped piece of black onyx which features a diamond set collar to one end and a monogram intaglio 'seal' to the other, all circa 1915. The monogram is 'AMF' which has been beautifully engraved into the underside of the seal. The piece retains its original Morocco leather fitted box signed 'Appay', a French manufacturer, and embossed 'AMF' to the top of the lid. The firm Appay were retailing at 24 Rue De La Paix in Paris which is close-by the Place Vendome and also the Opera, however little information is known about the business. The Sciacca Coral has unique origins in the world: it is closely tied to the exceptional history of the Ferdinandea Island, which is a submerged volcanic island in the Strait of Sicily, between Pantelleria and Sciacca.
As of today the summit of the Ferdinandea Island remains between about 6 and 8 meters below the Mediterranean Sea level. Its most recent appearance as an island was in July 1831.
In the late 1831, in a shoal (called later ”Bummolo” by the fishermen of Sciacca) located around 30 miles from Sciacca, a new island emerged in a fiery hell from the depths of the Strait of Sicily.

I bought this clock many years ago and it was New, Old Stock at the time. In fact somewhere I should have the original box for it. But, do not hold me to it as I have no idea where it actually is.
The Heuer Racing Clock is a dashboard chronograph that was first introduced in 1963. The clock was designed by Jack Heuer in collaboration with the Porsche design team. Jack Heuer wanted to create a clock that was both stylish and functional, and the Racing Clock was a huge success.
The Clock is housed in a large, 80mm diameter case that is made of durable stainless steel. The clock has a black dial with large, white numerals and hands that are easy to read at a glance. The clock also features a tachymeter bezel, which can be used to calculate speed and distance.
The TAG Heuer Racing Clock was powered by a Valjoux Calibre 72 movement, which is a reliable and accurate chronograph movement. The movement was also used in other popular TAG Heuer watches...
