About the Item
A 10 x 12 mm octagonally faceted olive green tourmaline is set within a wonderfully ornamented bezel atop a matte-finish slightly tapered shank with similar matching motif. This ring really showcases the incredible skills of one of our master artisanal goldsmiths: with a combination of twist wire, spiral heart wire, and "jawan" granulation all combined into the final rich and luxurious design. This ring is currently sized 7, resizable by your local goldsmith. A really fine piece!

Steven Battelle
After a chance trip to SouthEast Asia in 1987, Steven Battelle became fascinated with the jewelry and iconology from the ancient cultures of Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, and Asia. Eventually forming a partnership with a dedicated group of Balinese village goldsmiths using painstaking handmade techniques, they together create unique designs that incorporate those timeless and classic motifs. He incorporates primarily cabochon gemstones as well as ancient Greek and Roman coins, each piece capturing the feelings of a bygone age. If you wish to create your own special piece, similar to a style we make, please let us know, and we'll see what we can do.
