The French Louis XVI style chair you see listed on 1stdibs, was authentically copied from an original c1800’ s French Louis XVI dining chair, that we purchased out of the Chateau de I’ Oise in France. The seat was wider and deeper, while the seat-back was more relaxed. Our Old Plank Louis XVI style chairs, are hand-made exclusively for Old Plank in France, by a master chair maker.
