The Shelley Light, by Jakob Uhlin for By Republiken is artisanally made of recycled plastic. The triangular components constituting the pendant lamp create a captivating and faceted appearance, offering an intriguing visual impression. The lamp's three openings add a compelling three-dimensional aspect to its design.
Light diffuses uniquely from various angles, providing a dynamic illumination experience. An inner shade, crafted from the same triangular building pieces, shields the light source.
Our process involves collecting used household containers made of polypropylene plastics, commonly used for food containers. After thorough washing, a hand-driven punch is employed to meticulously cut out the triangular building pieces from these recycled plastic containers. This sustainable process gives new life to materials that would otherwise be discarded. Every lamp sculpture is unique because each one features different images on their inside.

the concept of time – everything is in motion.
Much of the greatness and beauty of Balance table lamp lies in the hidden.
The materials are carefully selected to keep the lamp in perfect balance. The base is made from black marble, beautiful and heavy keeping the construction steady.
Hand blown glass is cut with perfect precision to align with the steel boards. The metal spheres have just the right density to counterweight the opposite side of the lamps construction.
