Hailed as a landmark work of art, 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' was a smash hit, paving the way for further Disney features including 'Pinocchio' (1940), 'Dumbo' (1941) and 'Bambi' (1942), and changing the course of movie history. Disney was awarded an honorary Oscar at the 11th Academy Awards for a significant screen innovation which has charmed millions and pioneered a great new entertainment field. Adjusted for inflation, 'Snow White' remains one of the top ten highest grossing films of all time.
