ALBERT GOLDMAN Born in Alexandria, Egypt in 1922, Albert Goldman started drawing and painting at the age of 8. He began his art education 1936 Art with Italian and Greek artists at the "Atelier", in Alexandria, Egypt; continuing 1956 with Avraham Yaskiel and Zvi Mairovich, Haifa and with Moshe Propes, in Tel Aviv. In 1940 he obtained a diploma of commerce and opted for a career in the hospitality industry, following in the footsteps of his parents who operated the Majestic Palace Hotel in Alexandria. He moved to Cairo in 1942 to study Swiss Hotel Management at Egyptian Hotels Limited, the largest hotel company in the Middle East at the time. In 1946 he decorated an evening gown for an American singer, Catherine Essex, who sang before King Farouk. By 1947 he was the manager of the Luxor Hotel. In 1948, during an air raid over Alexandria, he was attacked by an Arab mob accusing him of signaling Israeli planes. He miraculously survived 12 stab wounds to the back. In March 1950 he married Lucette Blumenthal. He was put on the blacklist by the Ministry of Interior in Egypt, and in 1951 he managed to leave Egypt and came to Israel in September 1951 aboard the ship Artza. In 1956 he attended a drawing and painting course with Meirovich and Avraham Yaskiel in Haifa. He organized the Jerusalem Art Cellar in 1958 and settled in Jerusalem. He paints mostly Israeli landscapes, particularly of Jerusalem. This is done in a style reminiscent of Tully Filmus and Itzhak Holtz. Albert Goldman was born in 1922 in Egypt

Robert Childers first served in the U.S. Navy for six years after graduating from Medford High School in 1941. Following World War II, he studied at the Philadelphia Museum School of Art where he was the recipient of a gold medal and, upon graduating from the Museum's school, was the recipient of a Cresson scholarship and attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, where he received his Masters degree. Childers continued his education with classes at Fleisher Memorial and performed for two years with the Philadelphia Dance Theater.
Following his studies, he worked in fabrics, film production, toys and illustrations for publishers with du Pont in New York City. At the same time he maintained a studio and old twine factory over the Cherry Lane Theater. Shaul Victor, painter. Born in Russia in 1947, immigrated to Israel in the early 70's and lived in Safed. He became Orthodox religious.
Shaul Victor graduated from the Academy of Art in Kiev, where he studied between 1967-1973. Immigrated to Israel from the USSR with his wife and children in 1973 after having conflicts and difficulties with the Soviet authorities.
He was accepted as a member to the Israel Painters and Sculptors Association and received a studio and a small gallery in the Artists' Colony in Safed, where he worked for many years. He became a prominent painter among the artists of Safed and received great respect and favorable reviews in the leading Israeli newspapers.
He was also chosen to appear on the Israeli TV (the only channel in the 1980s) about art in Safed.

Born in 1967, Piussi was raised in Florence where he studied at the Istituto d’arte, majoring in sculpture and painting and completing his artistic education at Milano’s Brera Art Academy. He lives in Florence, pursuing painting, bas-reliefs in terracotta and in bronze, and bronze sculpture.
Piussi presents an ideal, almost childlike world which can be found below everyday events, a step outside the flow of time, yet still a part of contemporary life, with a nod to Alex Katz and David Hockney. The drama, or lack thereof, is played out in simplified, almost abstract spaces. Pure in intent, Piussi’s oeuvre are inspired by the Early Renaissance.
Snapshot images of a world reduced to its essence, the apparently comic-book style has echoes of Giotto, Paolo Uccello, of medieval illuminations. Rather than mimicking the appearance of nature, Piussi reaches for its essence, without distracting details. Women stand on the shore of quintessentially peaceful seas, self-contained, at ease, unwitting replicas of classical goddesses - a proud diver echoes Neptune holding a trident.

My oil paintings are a vibrant expression of the feminine and the can-do spirit of the Wild American West as embodied by my paternal grandmother and great-grandmother, both award-winning horsewomen. I use saturated colors, often found in nature, to interpret burgeoning growth, beauty and the human form especially of Jennie Pawson and Aeola Huston Mitchell, my cowgirl ancestors. I know these feisty women from stories I heard my father tell and from old photographs showing the time Jennie met Theodore Roosevelt, and another from 1901, when she was named a champion of the Cheyenne, Wyoming Frontier Days. As a child I spent hours on the floor of my grandfather’s music room as Enrico Caruso serenaded me from the Victrola.
