Peter Beard (1938–2020) was an American artist who lived and worked in New York and Kenya. In Africa Peter Beard found the central theme of his life, the destruction of the natural animal world by man and civilization. His photographs of Africa, African animals and the journals that often integrate his photographs have been widely shown and published since the 1960s.
Inspired by earlier trips to Africa in both 1955 and 1960, Beard traveled to Kenya upon graduation. Working at Tsavo National Park, he photographed and documented the demise of 35,000 elephants and other wildlife, later to become the subject of his iconic book, “The End of the Game...

The statue, which bears the title of L.O.V.E., stands for Libertà, Odio, Vendetta, Eternità (Freedom, Hate, Vengeance, Eternity),was created in 2010 to stay in Piazza Affari (business district) in Milan. The artist himself states that the statue is an anti-fascist statement, transforming Italy’s Fascist hand salute from the 1930s by cutting off the fingers and mutilating the hand. The fingers, except the medium one, are not flexed but cut off. Nevertheless the impression is an unambiguous “fuck you” to the world of bankers and CEOs.This edition, 1:28 scale reproductions of the original statue, was released by Seletti in May 2014 and is made of concrete painted white.

Throughout art history, the flower and its symbolism have been a subject matter for many renowned artists. Andy Warhol explored the qualities of the flower image through his Pop Art prism in the Flower series of 1964, thus creating cartoon-like symbols that would be instantly recognised.
The 1964 Flower series became one of his most iconic and successful works.
Based on a discovered photograph of hibiscus blossoms, Warhol drenched the flowers’ floppy shapes with a variation of vibrant colours, transforming them into psychedelic indoor décor. Playing with traditional art historical themes, Andy Warhol gave a particular twist to this historically accepted symbol of life. The electric colours of his flowers, drawn from a darker and rich undergrowth background might be the indicator of an extreme vision of life, a life lived on the edge.
Andy Warhol (1928-1987) was an American artist, a leading figure of the Pop Art movement. Using a variety of media materials from photographs up to computer-generated art, Warhol's works explore the relationship between artistic expression, celebrity, culture and advertisement that flourished by the 1960s. Emerging from the poverty and obscurity of an Eastern European immigrant family in Pittsburgh, Warhol became a charismatic magnet for bohemian New York. In 1960, he began to produce his first canvases depicting Popeye and Dick Tracy. After Marilyn Monroe’s death in August 1962, he started working from snapshots of the star’s already legendary face, which had been widely distributed by the world’s press. His choice of subjects clearly relates to an obsession with demise – his Marilyns, his Ten Lizies (created when the actress Elizabeth Taylor was seriously ill), and also his Elvis. Araki completed his studies at Chiba University’s Department of Photography, Painting and Engineering with a focus on the study of film and photography. The statue, which bears the title of L.O.V.E., stands for Libertà, Odio, Vendetta, Eternità (Freedom, Hate, Vengeance, Eternity),was created in 2010 to stay in Piazza Affari (business district) in Milan. The artist himself states that the statue is an anti-fascist statement, transforming Italy’s Fascist hand salute from the 1930s by cutting off the fingers and mutilating the hand. The fingers, except the medium one, are not flexed but cut off. Nevertheless the impression is an unambiguous “fuck you” to the world of bankers and CEOs.This edition, 1:28 scale reproductions of the original statue, was released by Seletti in May 2015 and is made of gray concrete.

Nobuyoshi Araki (Tokyo, 1940) is a Tokyo-based photographer. Araki completed his studies at Chiba University’s Department of Photography, Painting and Engineering with a focus on the study of film and photography. His photographic project Satchin earned him the prestigious Taiyo Award in 1964, shortly after he had joined the advertising agency Dentsu, where he worked until 1972. At Dentsu he met his wife Yoko, to whom he paid homage in Sentimental Journey, a photographic record of their honeymoon published in 1971. Eros and thanatos (sex and death) has been a central theme in Araki’s work; an abiding fascination with female genitalia and women’s bodies in Japanese bondage...
