Sweet Rehab

Restaurant by Leroy Street Studio in New York, NY

Sweet Rehab is a new pâtisserie in New York City owned and operated by a young, dynamic, and accomplished pâtissier/proprietor originally from Paris who has worked in some of the most esteemed restaurants in France and New York. The Parisian and vintage-inspired space, at 1,000 square feet, sits on Sullivan Street, a historic and intimate area of Soho. Colorful furniture, Pierre Frey fabric, chairs and antique lights from a Paris flea market, and custom detailing are interlaced with the original New York bricks, terrazzo, and painted zinc ceiling in the dining area. A custom brass and steel window inspired by the movie Roma sets off the display kitchen and gives visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the pâtisserie. Director of Interiors at Leroy Street Studio, Sybille Schneider, teamed with Rue d’Arch to implement the design for the Soho patisserie Sweet Rehab, which was influenced by the current restaurant scene in Paris where we see the emergence of strong color combinations and exotic patterns in modern architecture. The space itself feels as if you have found yourself in an exotic Parisian salon, but a salon that plays rock music.
