Sea blue-green light dances over pink and yellow with red in this 62 1/4 x 58 3/4 inch vibrant and alive with rhythmic lines and color, oil on canvas painting from Stephen Henriques, who says, “Magnificent Color is my greatest gift”. A mid-career California artist, Henriques, has also lived in South America. He is influenced by Bonnard and Vuillard, and inspired by music — specifically Western jazz. When talking about his artwork, the artist says it is best experienced slowly, like good music, food, or dancing. Color reigns in Henriques' delightful compositions that are at once, balanced, harmonious and a toast to life.
