Alessandra Gasparini was born in Genova in 1964, but she would say that she was born in the sea.
When she was a child she used to run along the beach like a beginner siren, and there she remained alone, listening to the spells of waves, to the magic of tides and the secrets hidden in the shells?
Right there her painting was born; an alchemic mix between brackish water and the pungent fragrance of colors.
Alessandra had a long artistic training that was for her not only a study, but a way of thinking. She studied in Italy and in Germany, and her works were exposed in many important private and public exhibitions.
When Alessandra was a child she had her own sweet muse, hidden somewhere at home, waiting for her. She waited for the right impastos like the cadmio that she desired so much for her dress.
When at the end, Adelaide revealed, Alessandra’s painting had an emotional blow, a new creative impulse.
Just like a real muse, Adelaide is exigent and she demands complete devotion. As she appears perspective becomes oblique, lines and forms get in trouble and follow her changing moods. And Alessandra indulges her.
Her paintings, where Adelaide is the only protagonist, are made up of warm and dense colors, creating metaphysical atmospheres coming from a rebellious and naughty soul.

STARSKY BRINE’s paintings and drawings captivate audiences with their distinctive style and a recurring theme, the search for the nature of humanity. In his bold works, the artist focuses on characters that are built from a combination of anthropomorphic and zoomorphic features, as well as the appropriation of elements from comics and toys from his childhood.
On the one hand, these characters distort reality to venture into an environment of subcultures and urbanism created by the spontaneous intuition of his strokes and the appropriation of the contemporary iconography. On the other hand, they move within the realm of fantasy. In particular, the animals paired with their human characters evoke associations with fairy tales or comics. They are reminiscent of the world of theatre, in which fantasy and poetry but also comedy often serve as catalysts for the creation of critical meaning.
With his works, Brines often questions the interplay of good and evil against the background of the worldwide socio-political climate. Yet Brines does not interpret his themes as ‘black and white.’ They are complex and nonlinear, with charming disruptions, quite serious and yet full of humor.
Brines is personally influenced by his mother and art historically influenced by Latin American figurative art, the German Neoexpressionism, the Italian Transavantgarde, and the COBRA group. Bathing Beauties by Ceravolo combines acrylic and oil paint with oil stick and spray enamel paint over a newly stylized vintage image of Bathing beauties from the 1920's. This work of art plays with the viewer blocking parts of the women, outlining some of their images, making the viewer go back and forth from the two images, Ceravolo has printed the vintage image with archival inks and then proceeded to paint and "Play" with the imagery. Suhas Roy 's mystic woman which he calls 'Radha', either Oil on canvas or soft colored pastel on Paper or board are a series of work where he sees an ethereal mystic godlike and innocent spirit in every woman he meets.
Style : He is one of the biggest and the most enduring names in the genre of Indian modern art. Often dubbed the father of female figurative forms. Radha Series and the Christ Series in soft pastel on paper and intense Oil on canvas paintings .Consequently, his recent body of works, "Drops of Silence", executed in oil, pastels and pen-and-ink etchings on backdrops in watercolours, are all studies of "mysterious slightly surreal nude women floating in a void". Roy's forte is Radhika - dark, enigmatic, beautiful Indian women with the slightest smile and ethereal in its quality .

Education :
1953-58 : Diploma in Painting, Indian College of Art and Draughtsmanship, Calcutta.
1956-66 : Studied graphic art under the guidance of S.W. Hayter, Atelier 17 and mural art at cole Superior Des Beaux Art, Paris.
