Suhas Roy 's mystic woman which he calls 'Radha', either Oil on canvas or soft colored pastel on Paper or board are a series of work where he sees an ethereal mystic godlike and innocent spirit in every woman he meets.
Style : He is one of the biggest and the most enduring names in the genre of Indian modern art. Often dubbed the father of female figurative forms. Radha Series and the Christ Series in soft pastel on paper and intense Oil on canvas paintings .Consequently, his recent body of works, "Drops of Silence", executed in oil, pastels and pen-and-ink etchings on backdrops in watercolours, are all studies of "mysterious slightly surreal nude women floating in a void". Roy's forte is Radhika - dark, enigmatic, beautiful Indian women with the slightest smile and ethereal in its quality .

'Love Garden Party (Picnic #1)' is an original mixed-medium work of art composed of high quality acrylic paint, opaque, metallic and neon inks, hand-cut collage, sealed with satin varnish on 36"h x 23.875"w on cold press paper stock. The painting is framed (41.5"h x 29.5”w) with conservation quality, high UV-filtering museum glazing. Signed by the artist. Part of Skip Hill's 'Love Garden Party' series, this work depicts four women gathered around a festive table filled with food and drink with a myriad of disparate objects including masks, Asian porcelain, and flowers.
Skip Hill was born in 1961 in Padre Island, Texas but grew up primarily in Oklahoma City. After attending Oklahoma City University to study Advertising and Marketing, he worked as a graphic designer before relocating in 1987 to Southern California. A two-week trip to Thailand in 1989 turned into a year traveling throughout Southeast Asia while writing for a business magazine based in Bangkok. In 1990 Skip Hill relocated to the Netherlands, immersing himself in the culture and learning the Dutch language. His frequent visits the Van Gogh Museum, the Stedelijk Museum and The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam as well as the Boijman Van Beuningen Museum in Rotterdam, sparked Hill’s interest in creating art inspired by aesthetic concerns over the strictly commercial art he produced during his advertising career. It was during this time abroad that he traveled through Germany, Czechoslovakia and Morocco. One of the most popular series of the Master Artist, The Golden Flute is the artists more romantic renedition of Art. The iconic figures of Krishna, Radha, and Ganesha that found lyrical expression in the Icons series are modern representations and sophisticated idealizations of the same images in the popular media.
Krishna is a cosmic musician, and the tune he creates by playing his transcendental flute is embodied with cosmic energy. When Krishna is depicted as being between the age of 5 and 8, it is always with his flute. Therefore, during this period, he is aptly called Murlidhara (murali means “flute,” and dhara means “hold”), signifying the one who holds the flute. He is never without it, whether he is with his mother, on the grazing grounds with his herd of cows, among his cowherd companions or roaming around on the Jamuna banks. Gopis lose their selves in this tune. For them, music becomes the voice of love, which is too passionate and secretive.
Style :
The city of Kolkata has always figured prominently in his work. His themes come from his personal interactions with its urban milieu - its sickness and sordidness, its violence and vulnerability and all that compounds its existential agony. Shuvaprasanna has depicted varying moods of the city and its people, its places, and all its facets that make the city distinctive.

Graduated from Indian College of Art (R.B. University, Calcutta) in 1969.
Exhibitions :
Shuvaprasanna has had several gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Tao Art Gallery and at the Chawla Art Gallery, Square One Mall. Several works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'ABODE' sold at Waddington's 'Fine Prints & Photography Auction' in 2014. There have been many articles about Shuvaprasanna, including 'An exclusive edifice' written by Kunal Ray for The Hindu in 2014.
