Amanda describes her work as a reaction to the “complex pattern, rhythm and color” in the world. In Mossy Trail the eye is immediately drawn to a bright red line of light highlighting a tree in the middle of the canvas, dividing the landscape into warm and cool areas. Loose strokes of paint give a sense of soft movement in the forest.
