Hand-signed on the lower right in pencil. Numbered on the lower left, edition of 22/50 prints.
This formidable print represents a poetical composition in black and blue with whitish lines and spots with strong and well-defined colors.
Jean Fautrier was a french painter, illustrator, and printmaker, as well as a sculptor. He is well known for being part of the Tachisme. In 1960, he won the Grand Prize at the Venice Biennale. His late work is mainly abstract and on mixed media.
