Tribute to Yayoi Kusama, Pop Art, Limited Edition 1/30. The prints are supplied with their certificate of authenticity in a limited and numbered edition. Priestess of total, hypnotic and colourful art, the eccentric Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama (born 1929) is known worldwide for her impressive immersive installations. She is also an emblematic figure of the hippie years. Affected by an obsessive disorder, she creates abstract works marked by the principle of accumulation and uses polka dots ad infinitum, completely invading the space. From 1966 onwards, Yayoi Kusama, who had become popular in the United States, organised performances and happenings in emblematic places in New York: at the Museum of Modern Art, the Stock Exchange or the Statue of Liberty. Her work has since been the subject of major retrospectives around the world, attracting crowds of visitors, seduced in particular by her "infinite" environments, invaded by polka dots, light-emitting diodes, balloons or psychedelic motifs. Since 2017, a museum has been dedicated to him in the city of Tokyo. If you want a large format, opt for a print that is covered with an anti-reflective film that protects it from humidity and UV rays. It is glued to Dibond©, which is a composite aluminium sheet. This thin and light material consists of two layers of aluminium around a polyethylene core. It is the most suitable material for keeping a very large photograph perfectly flat over time. Do not hesitate to contact us for a particular format! Born in Nice, in the south of France, Dajiù followed an artistic and applied art training, during which he tried out all the academic techniques. At the same time, he discovered the digital world applied to design, which was still in its infancy. But life led him to the world of advertising and at the age of 20 he managed a graphic design studio in the world of luxury goods. It was in these circumstances that he met the art collector and haute couture designer Jean-Paul Najar and his wife, the former haute couture model Denise Sarrault, with whom he moved to Barcelona for a year to work on various artistic projects. From Barcelona, Dajiù dreamed of Paris and stayed there for 15 years, but the desire to take to the road again made him choose Asia to continue his journey with four years in Shanghai and then two in Singapore. He now lives in Versailles, but knows that very soon, the desire for new encounters, new travels, will take him to the other side of the world. His artistic life is becoming more and more important over the years, he is now fully in his own universe, more inspired than ever by his travels, his encounters and his convictions. His artistic influences range from Yayoi Kusama, Botero, Basquiat to Jean Dubuffet or Niki de Saint Phalle... Dajiù likes to represent softness, poetry, roundness in a pure cubic style, working on strong contrasts and oppositions of genres, but also to give voice to the great causes that animate him and for which he is strongly committed. We no longer need to introduce the king of graffiti and painting, Jean-Michel Basquiat (1960-1988) is one of the star of contemporary art. The young artist friend of Warhol's, who died of an overdose at the age of 27, elevated street art to the rank of fine art. His work reflects the reminiscences of his family background (his Haitian origins), combined with the influences of pop art. He has become one of the great figures of Afro-Americanism in the art world. Dajiù Artwork is part of the Art collection Tribute to famous Artist. In this work he pays a tribute to the work of American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat (1960-1988). One of the most significant painters of the 20th century, Basquiat came of age in the late 1970s in the post-punk underground art scene in downtown New York.
