"Holiday", Abstract Drypoint Etching and Aquatint, Numbered and Signed
Located in Detroit, MI
"Holiday" is a work that displays Richard Jacobs early Balinese influence. This abstract work made with drypoint etching manifests a layer of depth and contrast that is achieved through an Indonesian technique of drawing the lines of the resist or printing it with a copper stamp that allows an artisan to selectively color the work through the soaking process. "Holiday" is exemplary of this earlier aquatint process before Jacobs would go on to apply a diversity of colors to his work. The print is 39 x 29 inches and is signed and numbered from an edition of 30 by the artist. Numbered edition may not necessarily be number 17 as there are multiple prints in the possession of Collected Detroit...

"Yellow Pepper", Still-Life Aquatint Etching Lithograph, Signed & Numbered
Located in Detroit, MI
"Yellow Pepper" is a work that displays Aaron Fink's experiments in still-life expressionism with its more than life-like depiction of a bell pepper in vibrant color. This print made with aquatint etching marries the expressionist style with the classic realistic depiction of food that we often take for granted. The print is 36.63 x 29.63 inches and is signed and numbered from an edition of 30 by the artist. Numbered edition may not necessarily be number 6 as there are multiple prints in the possession of Collected Detroit. This is a separate lithograph from "Red Pepper" which can be purchased separately but is including in the photographs for contrast as a set. A Mink Look, Contemporary Still Life Photograph by Roni Horn
Located in New York, NY
A Mink Look, Contemporary Still Life Photograph by Roni Horn, 1998 Signed, titled, dated, and numbered in pencil, verso Iris print on Monadnock paper (Edition of 15) 20 x 27 inches Roni Horn's A Mink Look (1998) exemplifies the artist's fascination with subtle details in nature, presented through an image that blurs the boundary between portraiture and abstraction. This Iris print, rendered on Monadnock paper in a limited edition of 15, captures a cropped, close-up view of a mink, focusing on the rich texture of its fur. The composition, measuring 20 x 27 inches, isolates the animal's form from its surroundings, reducing it to an abstract play of curves and tonal variations. The neutral background highlights the luxurious depth and sheen of the mink’s coat...

Abstract Pattern & Decoration Monoprint Monotype Painting Print Pierre Obando
Located in Surfside, FL
Pierre Andre Obando creates process oriented abstract paintings. He was born in Belize City, Belize and grew up in the Caribbean, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Miami, Fl and Jackson, MS. Pierre Obando completed his MFA at Hunter College and completed his undergraduate studies at New World School of the Arts, Miami, Fl. His work was featured in the Queens International Biennial in 2004, and 2006 at the Queens Museum of Art. His work has been in group exhibitions at Angela Hanley Gallery, Los Angeles, CA; Rockland Center for the Arts, West Nyack, NY; Rush Arts Gallery, New York, NY; MACO Mexico Art Fair in Mexico City; Nina Freudenheim Gallery, Buffalo, NY; Royale Projects, Indian Wells, CA; The Painting Center, New York, NY; and Dean Project, New York, NY. In 2008, he had a solo exhibition at Heskin Contemporary, New York, NY and in 2009, at project space show at Rush Arts Gallery, New York, NY. He has participated in the Atlantic Center for the Arts Artists-in-Residence Program. In the fall of 2012, he participated in the group show Caribe Now, at the Nathan Cumming Foundation, which was organized by El Museo del Barrio, New York, NY. Contemporary Pattern and Decoration piece, The original movement was championed by the gallery owner Holly Solomon. The P&D movement wanted to revive an interest in minor forms such as patterning which at that point was equated with triviality. The prevailing negative view of decoration was one not generally shared by non-Western cultures, The Pattern and Decoration movement was influenced by sources outside of what was considered to be fine art. Blurring the line between art and design, many P&D works mimic patterns like those on wallpapers, printed fabrics, and quilts. There is a close connection between the Pattern and Decoration movement and the Feminist art movement. The P&D movement arose in opposition to the Minimalist and Conceptualist movements. Mary Grigoriadis, Valerie Jaudon, Joyce Kozloff, Miriam Schapiro, Robert Zakanitch were early proponents of this style. The artist lives and works in New York City.
