Stephen Schulz (American, b. 1948) is an artist who has lived and worked in Fresno and Santa Cruz, California, and Cedar Grove, New Jersey. He has studied privately with Julie Connell, Jan Daniels, Michele Faia, Elle Fielder, Sal Pecoraro, Susan Stover, and Chris Volpe.
Artist’s Statement:
“My painting and artistic expression opens the doorway into an unconscious and creative world, where an uninhibited expression can take place, as one becomes immersed without the perception of time.
Painting and design started it. From the beginning the process of transforming materials into art has struck me as a magical alchemy and, over the years, that mysterious process has had its hold on me, leading me from hobby to art. The creative process fills me with a sense of wonder and has proven a most amenable vehicle for transforming inner vision to outer reality.
I paint from the inside out. Though I work quite deliberately, consciously employing both traditional and innovative techniques, my unconscious is the region of the most fertile of creative soil.
I love working with a full complement of colors but often find my design direction working within the narrow spectrum of black and white, shadow and light. Some of my early inspiration comes from the New York School and artists such as Franz Kline and Jackson Pollock. Their ideas and techniques have helped to free my mind to explore areas of the unconscious that aren’t restricted by the world of right and wrong, good and bad. The journey continues and I feel blessed to have the opportunity to explore this exquisite world of the creative process.”

Lubomir Wojciech Tomaszewski was a Polish-American painter, sculptor and designer born in Warsaw, Poland.
Son of Lubomir and Lucyna née Bartłomiejczyk. He was an alumnus of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. Student of the Warsaw University of Technology In 1966 he emigrated to New York City in the United States. In the 1970s, he moved to Easton, Connecticut where he lived until his death in 2018.
He fought as a soldier of Polish Home Army through all the 63 days of Warsaw Uprising. He was a commander of anti-tank unit. He witnessed the death of his younger brother and many friends.
Tomaszewski started his artistic work in the 1950s in Institute of Industrial Design in Warsaw, an innovative institution with an aim to create modern living in post-war Poland. He cooperated with designers like Henryk Jędrasiak, Mieczysław Naruszewicz i Hanna Orthwein. He created popular porcelain figurines and "Ina" and "Dorota" coffee sets, which were exhibited at the International Exhibition of the Board of the Industrial Designers’ Association (ICSID) in Paris in 1963.
In 1994, he established an international art movement called Emotionalism, together with a group of painters, sculptors, photographers and even dancers and musicians. He started creating his unique fire and smoke paintings. His sculptures were recognized by The New York Times in 1975:
“The most effective among the pieces are the animals or birds that convey the state of tension or movement or brute strength, something that struggles against gravity to maintain its force.”
Tomaszewski took part in over 150 individual and group exhibitions around the world. His works are in renowned museum and private art collections of, among others: National Museum in Warsaw, National Museum in Cracow, Warsaw Uprising Museum, Hale Museum in Germany, Robert Marston, Rockefeller Family and Jimmy Carter.

About the Artwork
O’Sullivan creates invented buildings, places, and objects describing unexplored worlds conjuring a sense of discovery and adventure. Rise and Shine represents a shift from the artist’s earlier work featuring structures, facades, and panoramic landscapes toward a more detailed approach. These new works depict encapsulated, floating environments devoid of humans. The sculptural objects are keepsakes or relics from these faraway places. Each piece plays with the shifting relationships between two and three dimensions, surface and underworld. "Art belongs everywhere from cruise ships to churches" This has been the mantra of Helen Webber since she began her career in the 1970’s creating hundreds of art works for public spaces throughout the United states and abroad. It was her strongly held belief that art can touch the spirit of many more people than those whose art experiences are limited to the halls and walls of museums and galleries. Her bold and richly hued art works executed in a wide variety of media, such as tapestry, glass, metal wood and clay have been installed in universities, corporations, medical facilities, cruise ships, hotels, religious spaces, community and civic centers and even in a train station. Over the years many architects and interior designers have collaborated with Helen Webber finding that her work enhanced their designed environments, giving her the opportunity to create art for well known corporations as well as multitudes of residences. It is the tapestries that she is best known for, and it is this medium that dominates the largest body of her work, which was first introduced to the design world in the mid 1970's. The tapestries utilize a fabric collage technique combining an array of designer upholstery fabrics such as velvets, brocades, worsteds, jacquards, mohair, hand woven woolens, among many others. Yarns of all kinds are integrated into the tapestries surrounding the edges of each fabric piece.

The Concorde Cap is one of an ongoing series of copper electroplated hats. Ranging from Superman to Nascar, the artist chooses hats from all walks of life before distilling through the electroplating process, transforming the once functional hat into an object of contemplation and beauty.
Shelter Serra’s sculptures and drawings explore notions of mass consumption and cultural identity. He juxtaposes objects that are both mundane and immediately recognizable: a 40 ounce bottle of malt liquor cast in plaster, a Best Buy cap plated in copper, and a designer handbag cast in resin, to name a few. Casting and plating these objects in unlikely materials—resin, plaster, platinum silicone, and copper—Serra strips them of their intended functionality, thereby highlighting their underlying cultural symbolism and transforming branded products into objects of aesthetic contemplation. “Refining an aesthetic and making beautiful objects, whether that be a dress, bag, or sculpture," says Serra, "is a celebration of pure creativity and personal vision.”
