He became profesor in 1990. He runs the atelier of sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He is also a Chair holder of the Sculpture Department at the Faculty of Arts of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. Three times elected rector's terms of office (1990–1996; 1999–2005; 2012-2020).
In the '70s he was the artistic editor of the monthly' Nowy Wyraz.'
