Arquitectonica 1984 Madonna Table Desk Memphis Milano Postmodern Miami Sottsass

About the Item

Madonna table by Arquitectonica Miami for Memphis Milano, 1984. Iconic an extremely rare postmodern piece and one of the only Memphis Group productions whose design was commissioned from an outside firm. Arquitectonica was a Miami design firm founded in the 1970's by Laurinda Spear and Bernardo Fort-Brescia. USA/Italy, 1984, lacquered wood 29½ H × 96 W × 56 D in (75 × 244 × 142 cm) This unbelievable desk captivates with its free form, the contrast of the triangular substructure columns and the almost fluid-looking lacquer. It can be used from any side. It comes from a private Memphis collection in Berlin and is in very very nice condition. Get an impression from the photos, the swings and details are simply a dream! Dear interior designers, architects and of course all other interested parties, due to the image compression of 1stdibs the photos here are unfortunately mostly rather spongy and possibly not suitable for customer presentations.
