Chinese Qing Twin Handled Miniature Bronze Tripod Censer

About the Item

A stylish and heavily made antique Chinese Qing (1644-1911) twin handled bronze tripod censer dating from the 18/19th century. The censer stands raised on three simply formed legs which support a cauldron shaped body with a wide ovoid shaped base with a narrower funnel shaped top with a flat rim applied with two raised handles. The base has a very clear and well defined four-character mark and believe the censer could date from the early Qing period or later. The censer is in good condition with a wonderful age patina to the bronze finish. Provenance: Acquired from the UK Art Market.
