About the Item
A beautiful, simple yet elegantly designed embossed woodblock print by Japanese artist Kunio Kaneko. This work is from his "Tabi" series (traditional Japanese socks for Geishas or women to wear with their kimonos).
The work is hand-pencil signed, titled (Tabi 20), numbered (31/95), and dated (1986) by the artist.
Kunio Kaneko was born in Tokyo and graduated from Musashino Art University. He was a student of Joichi Hoshi and Kihei Sasajima. His woodblock prints have been exhibited internationally in Japan, Korea, the United States, and Europe.
