About the Item
The detailed carving and deep mahogany patina make this large square carved Chinese window panel stand out. The wooden panel can hang on a wall, but traditionally, this large square decorative carving was placed in an internal or external window, This panel's centering design is a figural depiction of the Chinese character for "tea." The carving is intricate and exquisite--in very good condition. Eight finely carved spokes join the centerpiece to the four corners which are adorned with floral carving. This piece has no chip or splits to the wood.
It measures 36 inches by 36 inches and 2 inches deep.
