About the Item

A very handsome and large scale pair of Italian 19th century white Carrara marble torchières. Winged cherubs stand on an oval shaped terrain base with a drape wrapped at the hip. They each hold a scrolled torch with acanthus leaf carvings ending with a giltwood bobeche. Wonderful expressions and fine details throughout.
