About the Item

This is a SUPERB L&JG Stickley Antique Period Mantle Clock circa 1907. It is in excellent working condition with good original finish, along with original dial and hands. The clock is sturdy and and ready to use your home. It is in good working condition. WE ARE RUNNING A SALE $15k to $12K Please note: Most "Stickley" items online are reproduction, or outright fakes. In the 1970s, a man named Alfred Audi approached the widow of Leo Stickley before she passed. He purchased the brand name "L&JG Stickley" and opened a factory near Syracuse, NY. He manufactured furniture "In The Style" of the original Stickley. Gustav Stickley was a great artist. All of the furniture he made was "Through Tenon" & Pinned. This is why furniture from 120 years ago still looks brand new. Reproduction furniture uses glue to "fool" buyers that it is Through Tenon construction. In the last 50 years or so, many Gustav Stickley and L&JG Stickley pieces have sold for $100,000 or more. They are true collectibles, but need to be in perfect shape and "untouched" condition. This is what makes them investment pieces. BTW - We have over 5,000 pieces of Real Stickley furniture. We buy from collections in New York and Pennsylvania. We buy only the best. We pay a little more than other dealers, but we get only the very best. We don't deal with "problem" furniture. For more information, contact us. Buyer pays shipping costs. Joe Nevo (Pennsylvania, USA)
