About the Item
A striking pair of Chinese export porcelain models of parrots featuring a fantastic robins egg and lavender glaze, early 20th century, China.
The parrots are portrayed standing upright upon a rock work base. One has its beak open, the other closed, almost as if they are in conversation.
The parrots are glazed in a spectacular speckled robins egg turquoise blue over a deep lavender ground. The legs and beaks glazed a bright yellow. The rocky outcrops glazed a nice chocolate brown.
The undersides with an impressed factory mark, unfortunately illegible.
