Cliff Vase Small by Chaaban
By CHAABAN
Located in Dubai, DU
Cast from solid bronze, the Cliff Vase (Small) is a functional and sculptural work with wood grain detail and golden bronze patina. Designer Inspiration behind the pieces. Introduced to the world of design in 2016, Brian Chaaban has spent the past few years curating a collection of premium bronzewares. Pulling inspiration from the natural beauty surrounding his hometown of Los Angeles, his self-titled collection “CHAABAN”, focuses on forms, shapes, and details found in nature. “I have always been drawn to the outdoors– whether it be through hiking trails or swimming in the ocean, there is such an indescribably tranquil energy about our natural world." – Brian Capturing and preserving this natural energy has been the ethos behind each piece in our bronze line, most of which start from a hand carved block of wood. Upon perfecting the wood model, the piece finds its next form when cast in solid bronze, using a nearly 6000-year-old method known as lost wax casting. Once cast, we hand-patinate each piece until it is then ready to be released into the world for adornment. Artistic inspiration for the collection is drawn from the raw and brutalist styles of Paul Evans, and Harry Balmer as well as the modernism sculptures...

Blue Carafe and glasses. Inspired by Traditional Ceramic Carafes.
By La muerte tiene permiso
Located in London, GB
Our carafe colection is a tribute to the traditional pitchers of the regions of Tonala´ and Tlaquepaque in Jalisco, these two regions developed during the period of the conquest as pottery centers. Originally these bottles were used to store water in addition to keeping it a few degrees below room temperature, their low temperature cooking allows the jug to breathe water and this in contact with the outside air cools the jug and therefore the liquid inside. To avoid moisture stains on the surfaces where the jug is placed, a plate is placed. The jugs were usually decorated with paintings...
