About the Item
Interesting hand thrown Japanese studio pottery creamware vase with a craquelure glaze by Takeshi Yasuda (Japanese, b.1943) dating from the 1980’s. The bottle shaped vase has the slightly distorted elements of truly hand thrown piece with all the irregular characteristics and stands raised on a conical shaped foot with a rounded body with small finger impressed indentations to the body and with shaped and squeezed neck. The vase is decorated thick natural glazes over a creamware body and has a natural craquelure finish. The vase bears a printed paper label to the base with the title BOTTLE – Creamware and is marked Takeshi Yasuda and numbered TY3302.
In good condition and a wonderfully stylish piece to add to any collection.
