This is a beautiful plate in the Chinese inspired pattern number 4089, produced by the Copeland - Late Spode factory and made of earthenware pottery called Pearl-ware, in the mid 19th century, circa 1850.
This plate is well potted with a recessed rim.
The pattern is transfer printed under-glaze in cobalt blue, then carefully hand painted in bold coloured enamels over-glaze in Gilt Heightened, Rare Pattern Number '4089' which Depicts Oriental Flowers including Bamboo, Peonies and Prunus Blossom in a garden setting with insects.
Similar plates of this period are shown in Steven Smith's book called Spode and Copeland, published by Schiffer.

This is an exceptionally large English mid-19th century Victorian Ironstone Platter decorated in a beautifully detailed Japanese Imari pattern. The enameling is sharp with deep coloration and the overlaid gold is in very good original condition. The platter is marked "Stone China" on the reverse. The platter is in very good overall condition with normal patination and very minimal losses to the painted decoration. There is a bit of wear to the underside of the rim which does not detract from the value of the platter. Platers of this size are very uncommon and desirable. From our Ceramics collection, we are delighted to offer a pair of French Sevres boat-shaped porcelain dishes with original ormolu mounts. The serving dishes beautifully decorated with a frieze of vibrant green undulating foliate garlands interspersed with mosaic style classical romanesque cartouches and birds. The inside decorated with gilt scrollwork embellishments with a six point start to the centre. The porcelain raised on four scrolling legs draped with garlands of fruiting vine. The porcelain bearing the Louis Philippe interlaced L's Sevres mark, the Chateau de Fontainebleau mark, incised marks for the original serves blank manufacturing along with initials and finally the painted initials WB. The dishes dated to the first half of the 19th century 1839/1840 respectively. The ormolu mounts stamped to the base CHER.

This is a highly decorative, ironstone, twin handled circular footed Bowl by John Ridgway, dating to the English William 1Vth period, circa 1835 .
The bowl has been carefully hand-painted in bold colorful enamels with a chinoiserie pattern of three oriental people travelling on a boat, pattern number 5057. It is also richly hand gilded.
John Ridgway operated at his father’s celebrated Cauldon Place works, Shelton, Hanley, England, between 1830-1856, producing some fine porcelain and stone China of excellent quality. His stone China earthenwares and ironstone wares are discussed on page 305 of Godden's Guide to Ironstone, Stone and Granite Wares written by Geoffrey Godden for the Antique Collectors Club.
