Japanese, Contemporary Blue Pink Porcelain Match Tea Cup by Master Artist, 2
Located in Takarazuka, JP
Exquisite contemporary Japanese decorative porcelain match tea cup, extremely intricately hand painted in various shades of blue and pink set against a stunningly shaped ovoid porcelain body in blue, to create a mesmerizing surface. It is lavishly decorated with intricate gold details and is a masterpiece by highly acclaimed master porcelain artist in traditional patterns of the Imari-Arita region of Japan and the recipient of numerous prestigious awards for his extraordinary porcelain work and his unique gold and platinum work on porcelain. The artist's profile is available upon request.
Hydrangeas with intricate details decorate the surface of this remarkable cup and continue to decorate the inside of the cup.
"Fired-on gold,” this artist's signature style, highlights unique techniques for incorporating gold and platinum into the hand painting and multiple firing processes that yield a stunningly opulent look. The polychrome overglaze is fired at 800 degrees, followed by the application of gold and platinum that are fired at slightly lower temperature to maintain the luster of the precious metals. As a result, a single piece may undergo as many as 5-10 firings. The artist's profile is available upon request.
This elegant gilded porcelain matcha tea cup...

Japanese 19th Century Porcelain Imari Plate with Painted Blue and White Décor
Located in Yonkers, NY
A Japanese Imari porcelain plate from the 19th century, with hand-painted blue and white foliage, tree and architecture décor. Created in Japan during the 19th century, this Imari porcelain plate features a delicate blue and white décor divided into four distinct sections: lucious foliage, blooming trees, large leaves and a traditional house with mountains in the background occupy the composition beautifully. Light blue color alternates with darker touches, thus creating a lively sense of depth. Imari is a style of porcelain named after the Japanese port from which it was shipped from, beginning in the late 17th century. The plate has a green mark on its back. Bordered by a scalloped edge, this 19th century Japanese hand-painted Imari porcelain plate will make for a lovely addition to any home décor, perhaps placed on a commode, side table or console!
