This placemat was designed by Sarah Espeute, artist-designer based in Marseille. Resulting from a collaboration with OROS Edition, this exclusive series consists of different lines of embroidery and fabrics. Sarah has assembled her scraps of old linen and cotton to form quilts. The black lines, symbolizing the grain of the wood, are made with a sewing machine, which brings finesse to the stitch but also a mechanical side that balances with the rustic and raw aspect of the fabric. The “butterfly” yoke echoes the “dovetail wrench” wood assembly, traditionally used to consolidate cracked wood. Use and care : Gently wash stubborn stains by hand using black soap before washing your embroidered linen in the machine. Do not use bleach as it will damage the fabric. Before putting your laundry in the washing machine, place it carefully in a special delicate laundry bag so that the embroidery threads are not damaged by friction. This service will have been retailed as a complete set and between the dates stated. The stainless steel blades of the original composite handled table and dessert knives bear the mark 'By Appointment to the Late King George V, Viners Ltd, Sheffield' accented with 'Stainless Deluxe'. This impressive canteen of cutlery is fitted to the original, fine and impressive oak three draw canteen table; this is an impressive piece of furniture in its own right. The table is fitted with a pair of Art Deco style gilt metal handles to each drawer, in addition to plain escutcheons. This exceptional cutlery table is supported by four plain legs with tapering knopped feet.
