About the Item

Italian designer Marco Zanini was a founding member of the Memphis Group. After completing his studies in Florence and the United States, he returned to Italy and began collaborating with Ettore Sottsass. This collaboration led to the founding of the Memphis Group. Over the years, Zanini worked on various projects in architecture, design, and fashion. His creations are known for their colorful and vibrant design. This coffee/teapot and sugar bowl set dates back to the 1980s and is part of the Hollywood collection, which Zanini designed for Bitossi in Italy. The design strongly reflects the influence of the Memphis movement, with geometric shapes that give the teapot a different appearance from each angle. Both are decorated with a floral pattern titled ‘Passion’. Both pieces are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. The sugar bowl comes with its original packaging.
