Late 19th Century American Pine Folk Art Frame, circa 1890

About the Item

Late 19th century American pine folk art frame, circa 1890. A double portrait frame with a recessed back to accept glass and two mounted portraits. Very elaborate and precise deeply carved designs in the Pennsylvania Dutch manner. The surrounding edge done in a puzzle like interlocking wreath. Excellent crisp and well preserved. Original antique patina intact.
