A pair of B.T. promotional table lamps, designed by Duccio Trassinelli in 1971, a founding member of studio A.R.D.I.T.I., produced by Sormani SPA. These lamps were created as promotional items to demonstrate Trassinelli's innovative technique, which involves a low-voltage current flowing between two steel plates through randomly positioned electromagnetic components.
The components are completely safe to touch, and each methacrylate bulb holder can be positioned anywhere on the steel plate.
In 2005, these lamps were restored by Duccio Trassinelli himself and were acquired directly from him.
Each lamp comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and a copy of the related patent for the mechanism, also issued by the artist.
These lamps, along with related works, are part of the permanent collections at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York...

Wonderful pair of vintage / first production of chrome "Foglio" sconces in fabulous conditions. These iconic lamps were designed by Tobia Scarpa and produced by Flos in Italy during the 1960s.
The Foglio (meaning 'sheet' or 'leaf' in Italian) is composed by a thick curved sheet of chromed steel with a white enameled interior and two lamp holders. The effect when lit is incredibly stylish and clean. They come wired and tested, compatible with both US and EU/UK standards and use two E26/27 light bulbs.
The way these lamps spread the light is poetic and incredibly elegant. The perfect lamps to complete a midcentury modern living room.

Tobia Scarpa’s work (as well as that of his brother Carlo, an architect) reveals a precise desire to combine old and new, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern needs.
Scarpa graduated in architecture from the University of Venice in the 1950s, together with his wife and collaborator Afra.
His first assignment as a designer was for Venini, a renowned Murano glass company.
Starting in 1957, Tobia and his wife also began working together in the field of architecture, and devoted much of their work to the delicate restoration of historic buildings.
They are also known for their sober approach to design, aimed at the luxury market.

The new edition of the FRAN lamp does not fly, but has a solid base for a stable stand. The straight-lined bases are available in beige and metallic and thus fit into different living situations. With their object character, they underline both flamboyant and architecturally austere environments. The table lamp FRAN is available in the sizes Midi and Large. In 70 or 90 centimetre height, it is present on the night table as well as a sculptural object on a sideboard.
The lampshades of the table and floor lamp are made of the natural material raffia. The natural fibres cast the cosy light typical of FRAN.
