Beautiful table or desk lamp designed by Anders Pehrson, this highly recognizable model is named "Bumling", manufactured by Ateljé Lyktan in Sweden, circa 1960. This colorful piece has a uniquely shaped hood and a unique combination of materials! The yellow metal hood is held by a chrome plated metal base. What makes this an especially rare piece, is that the round foot is made of black leather! The leather is very nicely stitched and the bottom of the arm is black painted, making the metal and leather fit together seamlessly. All together this gives it an eye-catching luxurious appearance that would make a beautiful addition to any modern interior. In good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. Anders Pehrson was a skilled designer, PR and business man who combined function, colour and family living to put Ateljé Lyktan on the world map. When he took over Ateljé Lyktan in 1964, he started the journey towards a more industrial and large-scale production.
