Italian 19th Century Venetian St. Patinated Walnut Umbrella Stand
About the Item
An impressive and very unique Italian 19th century Venetian st. patinated Walnut umbrella stand. The solid wood stand is raised by a wonderfully executed rock designed base with charming leaves and branches. The superb richly detailed monkey is sitting on the rocks holding a plate extended in front of him. He displays exceptional details in his fur and is wearing a jacket with finely carved foliate designs, a cravat around his neck, and a hat. He also displays a wonderful facial expression with striking painted eyes and bone teeth.
