This exceptional antique George III sterling silver fish slice / server has been crafted in the Stag Hunt pattern*.
The surface of the handle is ornamented with a hunting scene incorporating a stag surrounded by hounds, with a hunter to the rounded handle terminal.
The surface of the plain ferrule is embellished with the contemporary engraved crest of a stag.
The handle of this Paul Storr silver fish slice conjoins with the incurved blade with a shell decorated bolster to the anterior surface and a scrolling ornamentation to the heel.
The shaped blade is embellished with a paralleling tooled border, in addition to impressive shaped pierced designs to the centre; the reverse surface of the blade is plain.

Gorgeous multicolored picture plate of viennese Imperial porcelain manufactory:
Stunning quality / the edged areas are decorated with finest patterns, made in following manner: Yellow shaded background is decorated with finest golden painted patterns enclosed in lockets with violet-red as well as with bright blue background - there are leaves' stems and scrolls, vases and bellflowers visible.- The plate's middle area is golden painted, too, at edge / the centre shows a figural scene: It is Susanna and the Elders. Explanation: The Jewess Susanna of Babylon was accused of adultery by two Jewish Elders who had watched her in bath / for this reason she was condemned to death. The young prophet Daniel proved Susanna's innocence then.The scene described here was often painted in art history.

Set Antique Porcelain Dishes in Coalport's Red Chrysanthemum Pattern circa 1810

We are pleased to offer this set of 12 antique porcelain dishes painted in Coalport's "Red Chrysanthemum" pattern, England, circa 1810. The dishes are covered with exquisite red chrysanthemums and gilded leaves in a swirling ornamental pattern (see image #2). This early 19th century, English pattern was inspired by similar Chinese patterns of the 18th century. In Chinese lore, chrysanthemums represent a happy life. Having chrysanthemums was also thought to prolong life. Therefore, these dishes have a benevolent motif of happiness and well-being.
The rim of each dish has rich golden English gilding. The body of the Coalport porcelain is whiter than the Chinese porcelain, which creates a striking contrast with the red flowers. This group would be wonderful in a cabinet or arranged on a wall.
