About the Item

Multichair is a transformable system composed of two separate elements that easily transform it into a chair, conversation chair or relaxation chair. This is a product made with great care and with all the respect that a design icon deserves. Both cushions have an internal steel frame and are filled with polyurethane foam. The stretch fabric of the upholstery is glued, at the curves, to maintain the shape while the leather straps, with the help of pins and bushings, allow the elements to be held together. In addition to the technical content and quality of materials, Multichair also features a double soul, a little serious and a little informal, in perfect pop style. The two elements that compose the chair can also be used singularly. Part of permanent collection of the MoMA and Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Please ask dimensions of the chairs in their different compositions.

Afra & Tobia Scarpa "Soriana" easy chairs for Cassina, black leather and metal, Italy, 1969, set of two. Although technically designed in the 1960s, the "Soriana" model by the Italian duo Tobia and Afra Scarpa is firmly associated with the next decade, when its popularity peaked.
