We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely pair of original Regency circa 1810 giltwood famboo chairs
A very good looking and collectable pair of occasional chairs. These have the original and now distressed giltwood finish, the frames are famboo which means fake bamboo, at the latter part of the 18th to the early part of the 19th century Chinese furniture started to be imported into England, they’re designs and styles were quickly adopted by our craftsman and mirrored, we were carving bamboo designs in pine and oak
The patina on these chairs is sublime, it really makes them special and exactly what all serious collectors are looking for
