pair of “Sawbuck” CH 29 chairs by Hans J. Wegner

About the Item

The iconic "Sawbuck" chair was designed by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn in Denmark in 1952. It is known for its comfortable design, and defined by its A-shaped frame, visible from the side view. The seat is significantly wider at the front and, together with the highly curved backrest, ingeniously improves comfort in various seating positions whilst providing an elegant expression. A slender and refined design, but surprising stability and comfort in pure Scandinavian design. The minimalist form and exceptional craftsmanship make this chair a modern Danish classic and the ideal solution for any contemporary or modern home.
