Pierre Jeanneret Maple and Tweed "Scissors" Lounge Chairs for Knoll, 1948

About the Item

A spectacular pair of authentic "Scissors" chairs designed by Pierre Jeanneret in 1948 and manufactured by Knoll. The frames have been very gently refinished and waxed, still retaining some lovely cosmetic patina. The original leather straps have plenty of life left. The cushions have been perfectly restored with new foam and stunning, period correct, striped tweed upholstery. The dark blue tones of the fabric contrasts beautifully against the light, warm wood frames. These collectible chairs are petite, versatile, and quite comfy. They will work in virtually any space, with any interior aesthetic. They have been appropriately restored to maximize their investment value.
