A stunning and exceptionally uncommon pair of George Nelson model '4688' wingback lounge chairs designed for Herman Miller in the 1940s. These petite lounge chairs embody understated elegance, with flowing lines, curved, hugging backs, and flared, angular legs. The legs on this pair have a unique stack laminated, two-tone construction, which was likely a custom detail. The chairs have been fully restored. They have been reupholstered in a luxurious Belgian linen fabric with feather down cushions for added comfort. The legs have been refinished and waxed to bring back their inherent beauty. These delightful chairs will fit easily into almost any aesthetic, providing instant understated luxury and comfort.
