About the Item

Sofa by Finn Juhl, one of Denmark's leading designers. Finn Juhl has created his own world with his unique ideas and excellent sense of form, and has made Danish furniture known throughout the world. He has been called a ‘furniture sculptor’ for the beauty of his forms and details. He loved teak wood, which was considered extremely difficult to work with, and improved its processing methods, establishing teak as a major material for Danish furniture. This piece is also very carefully made, with steel embedded in the teak frame under the seat to prevent warping and increase strength. The deliberate design results in a very high quality seating comfort. Fabric. The fabric is made of 100% polyester, but has a smooth, dense feel like compressed felt fabric that envelops you in gentle seating comfort.
